1980 szeptemberében jelent meg a brit White Spirit egyetlen albuma. A Uriah Heep és a Deep Purple nyomdokain haladó, de a hard rock mellett a progresszív rock és a heavy metal irányába is kacsingató csapatot Janick Gers gitáros és Graeme Crallan dobos alapította 1975-ben.
